the band, then allow me to explain....

British Blues Rockers "Snakewater" are a power
trio hailing from Manchester and what you get is a classic valve
driven back line driven with all elements of Rock & Roll.
Influences range from Gary Moore, Eric Clapton, Joe Bonamassa,
Rory Gallagher, and Peter Green to Led Zeppelin, Cream and Free.
Basically, that Old School of British Rock persuasion of the
blues! The sound that emerges from the trio after they've
settled behind their instruments is not the one you would
imagine emerging on first sight - the wall of solid blues that
they throw out is quite startling.
Snakewater have great potential to make a
real name for themselves and are just waiting for their
opportunity to break through and take a shot at the mainstream
European Blues scene. Their forthcoming debut album ‘A NEW
BREED’, produced by Grammy Award nominee “Chris Tsangarides”,
has just been signed to “Dark Lord Records” / Sony AVT
Publishing. Released in March 2012.
BOBBY GRANT »
GUITAR / VOCALS
Bobby is a self-taught musician. At the age of 7, he picked up
the guitar. His expressive playing is powerful and comes
directly from the soul. Not being able to read music, Bobby
learnt by ear. Listening to his dad’s early records; Led
Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix and Carlos Santana. From such a young age
it was obvious to friends and family that Bobby had a natural
talent, but it wasn’t until he found a cassette of his dads
under the stairs when his world and out look on the guitar
changed! “Blues for Greeny” by Gary Moore, was the pivotal point
where he found his goal, of how he wanted to sound and play.
From this day, around 11 years old he started to play the Guitar
more seriously and used every opportunity to play live. Playing
with much older musicians on the local music scene, playing as
many jam sessions as possible, this was where and how Bobby
started to learn his craft. Nominated for “Young Artist of the
Year” at the 2011 British Blues Awards was a big honour.
BEN
STREETS »
DRUMS
Ben started playing the drums at the age of 11, and quickly
found that he had a natural gift behind the sticks. Ben would
listen to any type of genre of music he could, which today
transpires into his unique sound and style. His aggressive but
yet very technical style can be stripped down. The power house
of playing of John Bonham, the Craziness of Keith Moon, yet the
groove of Stuart Copeland with everybody else mashed into one!
BENJAMIN
EDWARDS »
BASS
The Newest member of Snakewater, Benjamin fitted in with ease.
With a background from the Royal Northern School of Music (where
he met Ben), his professionalism and and ability is just
incredible. His main instrument of choice is a 6-String beauty!
Not many players can tackle a 5 string bass, never mind a 6
string. Which Benjamin uses to is advantage, and uses every note
on the neck.
